Neal Martin "The 2014 Corton Rognets Grand Cru has a tightly wound, slightly earthy bouquet at the moment, more black rather than red fruit, gaining definition with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, a little rigid at the moment, with a bit of firmness towards the finish that just needs a little more fruit to fill in between the rafters. Give this 3-5 years in bottle."

There is excellent size, weight and muscle to the cool, restrained and imposingly intense flavors that are a fine combination of power, punch and richness on the mineral-driven and admirably long finish. Steve Tanzer "Medium red. Deep, ripe aromas of candied berries, spices, smoke, honey and earth are a bit less pristine than those of the Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Pruliers. Tightly wound and powerful, showing more earthy salinity than primary fruits today. The chewy, granular tannins currently dry the tongue. This wine will need patience."
